Events Putin sued in International Criminal Court for genocide

According to media outlets (see video), a Russian lawyer Igor Kovrigin with an initiative group of journalists, lawyers and human rights activists filed a lawsuit against Putin in the International Criminal Court.

The competence of the Hague Court includes reviewing cases involving genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Such charges may be brought against the former and future president of Russia, Putin.

In particular, Putin is to charged of mass murders of Russian citizens by his law enforcement agencies which acted under the order and with consent of Putin.

The suit has already taken by the Court for consideration.

Mr. Kovrigin, who for safety reasons is now living in Sweden, has also created a web site putinapodsud.org. Everyone can leave its signature under the application against Putin to the International Criminal Court there.
